I love wine bottles. When comes to consumer glass, they’re one of my favorite items. I’ve been looking for a good way to repurpose them and though of this idea – use it as an olive oil bottle!
I buy olive oil in bulk (a 3-liter bottle) to save money because I use it for both cooking and soap making, but the giant bottle is hard to handle when I only need a tablespoon or so. I’ve been looking at smaller glass bottles to store the oil in, but couldn’t find one that I liked that wasn’t expensive. So, why not use a wine bottle?
I bought a typical wine bottle pour spout in a set of two for $3.99. I found cheaper silicon ones for around a dollar, but I decided to splurge on a metal spout.
Ta da! Instant olive oil bottle. The bottle is from a local winery. I love the ravens they use in their label.
